Our History
Jim Myers and Gillett Cole founded Twin-Cities Closet Co. in 2001. Since our humble beginnings offering white laminate closets, we have expanded into a wide range of closet system colors and wood grains. In addition, we have veneer offerings and “green” eco-friendly closet systems, such as bamboo, to provide a full spectrum of products at a wide range of price points. We have also expanded our organizational systems beyond the closet and into offices, garages, wall beds, mudrooms, pantries and so much more!
Twin-Cities Closet Company’s. manufacturing facility and showroom is located in Minneapolis, MN. Twin-Cities Closet Co. is a local, independent company and we pride ourselves on being the Twin-Cities storage authority.

jeanne@tccloset.comJim has been in the custom closet industry since 1991. In 2001, he and a friend launched Twin Cities Closet Company with a goal to have a locally owned custom closet and cabinet business that would be known for top quality work at a fair price. Jim’s success is largely based on his choice of employees who create unique, interesting designs, precise manufacturing and quality installation. Jim’s business partner left Twin Cities Closet Company in 2010 to focus on his interests in teaching. Jeanne joined the company in 2010 and handles the financial end of the business along with sales, marketing and human resources. They continue to improve their standards and quality by purchasing and using state of the art design and manufacturing equipment and having a great team.

Chiharu Miller
Product Design Engineer

Chiharu presides over our 3D program and works with the production end to implement our screen to machine process. She has won several awards in design and continually works to keep Twin Cities Closet up on all the latest and greatest technology. Chiharu aids designers and builders and is known for her creative designs, great customer service, and her ability to “go the extra mile” for all Twin Cities Closet customers. -
Ryan Golz
CNC Operations Engineer
rgolz@tccloset.comRyan has a major in Communication/Public Relations with a minor in Business Administration from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. His passion for woodworking led him to St. Paul College where he received a 2 year cabinet making degree. He received 2nd place in the skills U.S.A. State Cabinetmaking Competition and continues to provide top quality cabinetry for our customers. His hobbies include fishing, guitar and enjoys coaching swimming.

Dan Breece
Installation and Manufacturing
Dan has worked for Twin Cities Closet Company for 6 years and takes great pride in making sure that the customer’s installation goes well. His background in construction and many years working with installation enables him to install at a quick pace while delivering a great product.

Mick Starling

Mick received his degrees in Small Business and Management as well as Film and Television. He worked several years working in construction and wardrobe installation in Australia.

scott@tccloset.comScott has vast experience as a remodeler as well as a job site supervisor for a national builder. He knows how to read prints, as well as the complexities of working with the home owner. My job is to make sure the builder is profitable, while assuring the owner’s needs are fully realized.

Susan Gurstel started Saratoga Closets 12 years ago and is known for her top quality design and product and great service. Saratoga joined Twin Cities Closet Company in 2012 and together they are working together to continue to create a product that is the best quality at fair prices.

Sarah Morrissette
Design Representative

After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota College of Design, she has worked for a national retailer and architectural firm designing commercial interior spaces. Sarah has recently returned to residential design to help TCCC clients maximize their closet and garage storage spaces. She enjoys collaborating with clients and understanding their space needs, and then transforming them into great-looking and high-performing storage solutions.
