Get your Kids Organized for Back to School

Keeping the clutter out of our lives is a constant struggle, but this struggle can be even more complicated with kids. As kids grow they need to continually change their wardrobe or as their tastes change. Not to mention the toys and sports equipment they collect over the years. Here are some easy ideas you can use when planning out your kid’s closets.

The most important thing when planning your child’s closet is flexibility. Use double or triple hanging rods so your child has clothes they use the most easily accessible on the bottom level, and more seasonal clothes on the higher rod. When they grow you can remove a rod to make room for new larger clothes or additional storage.

If you need extra storage for toys and games, shelves and baskets can be a great way to keep the clutter off of the floor. Plastic bins can hold the smaller toys and be neatly tucked away when play time is done. For larger items, wire baskets can keep them in the closet and out of sight. Wire baskets can also double as a clothes hamper for dirty clothes.
